In .github/workflows/go.yml the server build injects httpapi.Version with VER=$(git describe --tags --abbrev=0). Since the agent/v1.4.0 tag was created on main after v2.28.35, describe now resolves to 'agent/v1.4.0' and the running server reports that as its own version (/api/health and the startup banner), e.g. on the home instance after deploying main@1133dba.
Cosmetic, but confusing: the UI shows the server version as agent/v1.4.0. The updater availability check is commit-based so updates still work. Fix: filter describe to version tags (e.g. 'v[0-9]*' match) when computing VER.
