Once the software sees your device, follow these steps to recover your files.
- Select the type of data you wish to retrieve. The software sorts data into categories like Call History, Messages, Contacts, and App Data.
- Click the Start Scan button.
- Wait while the software analyzes the internal storage of your iPhone. This process can take several minutes depending on how much data exists on your device.
- Review the items in the preview window. The software will highlight files it found in red or black.
- Click the checkboxes next to the items you want to keep.
- Click the Recover button at the bottom of the screen.
- Choose a destination folder on your PC to store the retrieved files.
- Wait for the transfer to finish. Your data is now saved on your computer.
If you run into trouble, try these solutions before seeking further help.
- Connection failures: Use the original Apple cable that came with your phone. Some third-party cables only charge the phone and do not transfer data.

Does this software recover permanently deleted photos? Yes. PhoneRescue Pro scans the unallocated space on your device memory where deleted tags exist. It can often reconstruct file fragments if the original data has not been overwritten by new information.
Will this process wipe my current data? No. The recovery process is read-only. It reads the existing data on your phone and does not delete or change your current files.
How long does a scan take? The time depends on the storage size of your phone. A phone with 256 GB of storage takes longer to scan than a phone with 64 GB. Plan for 5 to 20 minutes for a complete scan.
Why does the software ask for my passcode? The software needs access to your backup files to decrypt the data. Providing your passcode allows the software to read encrypted messages and private contacts.
Can I stop the recovery if I change my mind? You can click the Cancel or Stop button at any time during the scan or recovery process. This will pause the task safely.
