When JSON stdout is redirected to an artifact, an early review failure can lose its primary diagnostic if recovery cannot produce a checkpoint. Emit the same existing sanitized JSON error to stderr while preserving stdout, schema, and exit codes.

Keep the installed recovery rehearsal strict: successful commands still require empty stderr; expected preflight failures may mirror only the exact canonical two-key error JSON. Checkpoint, process-exit, and provider-request guards remain in place.

Validation: five focused CLI controls and all 40 recovery-rehearsal tests passed; Ruff and diff checks passed. No provider calls, target pin changes, or provider activation.
