This plugin works best on systems that meet or exceed these basic requirements. It does not require any special hardware.

Follow the steps below to download and install OBSICLAUDE on Windows. No programming skills are needed.

On the Releases page, find the latest version. Look for a file named something like
OBSICLAUDE-win.exeorOBSICLAUDE-Setup.exe. -
Click the file to download it to your computer.

Once downloaded, open the file by double-clicking it. This will start the installer.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. Usually, this involves clicking "Next" several times and then "Install."

When installation finishes, launch Obsidian.

Open your Obsidian vault. Go to the "Settings" menu (gear icon in the lower left).

Find the "Community Plugins" tab. Turn off Safe Mode if it is on.

Click "Install Plugin" or "Browse" and choose the OBSICLAUDE plugin from the list if it appears. If not, click "Install from file" and locate the installed plugin folder if needed.

Enable the OBSICLAUDE plugin.

After enabling the plugin, open the OBSICLAUDE panel inside Obsidian.

Connect your AI service if asked. You may need to enter a key or sign in. The plugin will guide you on this.

Explore the plugin menu for available tools. You will find Magic Write, vault analysis, and other AI-powered options.

Try Magic Write by selecting a note or starting a new one and clicking the relevant button. The AI will suggest or generate content.

Use vault diagnostics to scan your notes for errors or inconsistencies.

Enable streaming output if you want to see AI responses as they come in.

Check plugin settings to adjust behavior and preferences.
- If the plugin does not appear, make sure Safe Mode is off in Community Plugins.
- Restart Obsidian after installing the plugin.
- Check your internet connection if AI features fail to work.
- Update Obsidian and the plugin to the latest version.
- Disable other plugins temporarily in case of conflicts.

OBSICLAUDE allows power users to customize AI behavior via the settings panel inside Obsidian. Adjust response length, temperature, and select which AI tools to enable. You can also configure how the plugin interacts with your vault’s structure and metadata.
To update OBSICLAUDE:

Visit the Releases page.

Download the latest installer file.

Run it to overwrite your current installation. Your settings will be preserved.

Restart Obsidian to load the update.
OBSICLAUDE processes your notes locally but may send data to AI servers for processing. Make sure you review any data policies of connected AI services.
Your vault remains on your PC; the plugin does not upload files unless explicitly instructed by the AI service.
If you want to remove OBSICLAUDE:

Open Obsidian.

Go to Settings > Community Plugins.

Disable OBSICLAUDE.

Optionally, delete the plugin folder from your Obsidian vault's
.obsidian/pluginsdirectory. -
You can also uninstall via Windows Control Panel if you ran a full installer.
If you use Obsidian Sync or another sync service, OBSICLAUDE will work on any machine where it is installed. To use it on another PC, repeat the installation steps there.
Plugins let you adapt Obsidian to your workflow. You can enable or disable them anytime without changing your notes. OBSICLAUDE adds AI-powered features while keeping your vault safe and untouched.
