Hey, I'm Hanzala 👋

  • I work on Backend and AI systems, mostly the part after the demo works and real users start breaking things
  • What I love with AI systems is what happens after the first version works: evals, guardrails, observability
  • Full-stack by habit. If the retrieval is bad I'll fix the retrieval, if the UI is bad I'll fix that too
  • Open to Full-Stack and AI Roles in Germany

Current Focus

  • Harness, Loop and Graph engineering for long-horizon agents
  • AI governance: evals, model auditing, human-in-the-loop (HITL), and gating deploys on quality
  • Getting agents to fail loudly instead of quietly. Silent failures are the worst bug class in this space
  • Claude Code writes a lot of my code now. The real skill is scoping the task well and reviewing the diff, not the prompting
  • My Master's thesis, on confidential computing (SCONE), which has nothing to do with any of the above 😂
