[Draft] Mute Inbox notification sounds per project #214

Description

@ognjeeen

This is a rough draft to capture the idea. The UX, scope, and acceptance criteria will be expanded once the idea is better developed.

Problem

Users should be able to silence Inbox activity from selected projects while keeping sounds enabled for other projects and the rest of MonoCode.

The current Inbox sound follows the shared unseen-item indicator and uses the global Sounds setting.

Initial direction

  • Let users mute and unmute Inbox notification sounds per project.
  • Provide a right-click entry on the Inbox module to manage project notification settings, with the same controls available in Settings.
  • Keep both entry points synchronized and remember preferences across app restarts.
  • Keep muted projects' items and unseen indicators visible.
  • Apply muting to the whole project. Individual issue, PR, or notification muting is outside the current proposal.
  • Respect the global Sounds setting.

Sound detection will need to identify the project behind new activity. Unseen items from a muted project should not prevent a sound for new activity from an unmuted project.

To refine

  • Exact context-menu and Settings layout.
  • Temporary mute durations versus muting until manually re-enabled.
  • Project identity across providers, local folders, and worktrees.
  • Whether a later version should also cover notification banners.

These are discussion points, not a finalized implementation specification.
