Harkaran Brar

Software engineer building dependable automation for markets, freight, and developer workflows.

I grew up on a family farm, where delays have real costs and tools need to work without constant attention. That experience shapes how I build software: understand the operation first, then make the system simple to run, easy to observe, and straightforward to recover.

Current focus

  • Market systems: Data pipelines, quantitative signals, and scheduled workflows.
  • Freight and field operations: Integrations and tools that support practical decisions.
  • Developer tooling and local AI: Containerized workflows and agent orchestration.

I work primarily with Python, TypeScript, Rust, SQL, Linux, Docker, FastAPI, Next.js, and PostgreSQL.
