@NextinMono It no longer makes sense to keep this PR open to this repository with the API module being rolled out into a submodule as part of: As such the PR for these changes should be moved here. The submodule will allow the API to move forward at a quicker pace as we won't have to verify thoroughly that the introduced changes don't include breaking changes for this repository. The linked PR that moves the API to a submodule is moving a snapshot of the current state of the API, as such moving your changes shouldn't be difficult and it makes it so that we can keep the current version of the API here intact as these changes are not necessary for the main repository to go forward. |

This PR includes the files from the now-deleted
api-mappingbranch, as it hasn't had any activity in a long time.Might need some code-style adjustment
