Revise with the Past

Build practice around what you actually need to revise

Revise with the Past turns past GCSE exam questions into focused practice papers. Choose your exam board, subject, tier, paper and topics, then set the length and time you want to work to. You get a printable question paper built from real exam material, together with the matching mark scheme.

The point is simple: practice should follow your course and your gaps, not leave you working through another generic worksheet.

What you can do

Build focused papers

Generate a paper for a whole course or narrow it to the topics you are revising today. Choose the number of marks and the time available, and adjust the question mix when you want a different kind of session.

Each generated paper includes the question pages and a corresponding mark scheme, so you can move straight from attempting the paper to understanding the result.

Mark one question at a time

Keep the question, your response, the relevant marking guidance and the next step in one place. Revise with the Past can read uploaded answer pages, suggest marks against the relevant mark scheme, and show where a response needs review. You remain in control of the final mark: confirm the suggestion, edit it, or enter the mark yourself.

See what to do next

Your marking history keeps track of confirmed marks, questions that need review and topics where marks were missed. Those gaps feed back into paper building, turning a completed paper into a useful next revision session.

Subjects available now

The catalogue currently includes:

  • AQA: Business, English Language, English Literature and Geography
  • Edexcel: Business, Combined Science, Biology, Chemistry, French Reading and Mathematics
  • OCR: Computer Science

Foundation and Higher options are available where the course supports them. Subject coverage is expanding, and the paper builder shows the available tier and paper choices for each course.

For compatible AI tools

You can also connect an MCP-compatible client to the hosted paper-generation service. The client can discover the available subjects and topics, request a focused paper, and receive temporary HTTPS links to the question paper and mark scheme.
