PS-HK19_MindForge_MindForge uses AI models running on a local server built with FastAPI. The front end is based on a simple browser window powered by React and styled using Tailwind CSS. It stores information in a vector database called ChromaDB.
The system understands your questions using language models and sentence transformers. It finds matching information fast by searching the database. This pulls together answers that match your context, making replies clear and relevant.

App does not start:
Make sure you completed the installation. If it still won't open, restart your computer and try again. -
No response to questions:
Check your internet connection. Some AI features use online resources. -
Installation fails:
Confirm you have space on your disk and meet the system requirements. Run the installer as administrator (right-click > Run as administrator). -
The interface looks strange or broken:
Update your browser or try another supported browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
Your input and the AI’s responses stay on your computer. The vector data used for search lives in a local database folder created during installation. No data is sent or shared externally unless you choose to connect online for updates or extended AI features.
To keep the software working smoothly, check the GitHub page regularly for new versions. Download the new setup file like the first time and run it to update your installation. Your settings and data will not be lost during updates.
