Fixes #64. Pinned Zed depends on async-tar 0.5 and xattr 0.2.3; Android libc removed ENOATTR. Use a pinned compatible async-tar maintenance backport upgrading xattr to1.6, retaining extended attribute behavior. Apply the patch in both independent manifests and commit both lockfiles. Backport Android check passed and65 host tests passed (including xattrs). dignifiedquire/async-tar#84 documents the maintenance request; current async-tar master already contains the dependency upgrade. Full gpui-mobile Android library build is being evaluated separately; no demo run asserted.

Android library build succeeded with Rust1.95.0, NDK28.2.13676358, API26: cargo ndk -t arm64-v8a -P26 build --manifest-path ../Cargo.toml --lib. Finished dev profile in2m37s; xattr1.6.1 and compatible async-tar compiled. This is the library only, not an application launch.

Upstream regression PR is now dignifiedquire/async-tar#85 (master-based, non-reverting). Closed84 because it was a0.5 maintenance diff against0.6 master; the independently committed/pinned compatible0.5 backport remains807e638ac2cfcbf29e2574573ef380702e7b9382. Upstream current master Android check also succeeds. Mobile library artifact is ELF64 AArch64 libgpui_mobile.so; dependencies liblog.so/libdl.so/libandroid.so/libc.so.

Additional iOS prerequisite: libc0.2.190 incorrectly restricts SDK-public dyld functions to macOS, breaking backtrace0.3.76. Minimal platform restoration pinned for library consumers; upstream existing issue rust-lang/libc#5601 and fix rust-lang/libc#5606. Simulator/device signature checks passed; macOS signature/layout test1/1passed. Downstream apps must copy libc patch. No iOS runtime/lifetime claims yet.

Actual iOS MyRemotely startup observed No DisplayHandle when creating Metal surface. Backported only the UIKit InstanceDescriptor::display fix from existingPR49/longbridge5abbefa5f753ee9a1920d6d2eaeede981e79eeff, preserving Zed dependency API. Descriptor regression compiles with cargo check --target aarch64-apple-ios-sim --tests --no-default-features --features webview,video_player,camera; Rust1.95 finished12m07s under jobs2. Runtime smoke is separate and pending. Owncommit1fd7726. Lifetime portion not yet changed.
