The Weaving station, if the Gems for the pouch are in your inventory, it will not use the Gems but will let you craft the pouch.
Putting the gems into the station makes them get used as appropriate, but holding it all in your inventory only uses the VDiamonds and MSilk.
At least for the Starter Pouches.
