DS_SharePointDataCard - Control doesn't trigger the grid event

I installed this PCF control on my machine, it's displaying the files, but I am running into two issues:

1. Can't select the file (the selected check box circle at the top right doesn't select) - This works fine when I run from the local browser but not from inside the CRM view page.
2. I tried to fix#1, but once I select the checkbox, I can't see other grid buttons such as "check-out", "Delete". This control wouldn't be functional if I can't select or the buttons don't change on selection.

Is the code working for the above two issues? What am I perhaps missing?

I managed to resolve the issue #1 and #2.
The resolution is you need to add dataset options to the sampleDataSet in the ControlManifest.input.xml.

For #1, I needed to add a temporary global variable, because when you select a document in the view, the call is going to the notifySelectedRecords function, but eventually it goes to the UpdateView, and from there it goes into the recordsDecorator. The recordsDecorator function makes the selected=false, which is why the checkbox were not getting selected. I added a variable this._setSelected=0; I am changing this value in the notifySelectedRecords, and in the UpdateView checking if (this._setSelected!=1){//recordsDecorator} and at the end of it, I am re-setting the value to this._setSelected=0. Here's how the code looks like.
