Update the README, release-status article, and maintainer checklist to reflect CRAN publication of bifrost 0.2.2 on October 17, 2026. Keep GitHub v0.2.2 pending and v0.2.1 as the latest published GitHub release. Retain the #231 caveat and deferral.
The maintainer record distinguishes the published CRAN rebuild from the previously checked local archive and preserves the submitted CRAN comments.
Validation: verified version 0.2.2, publication timestamp, and archive MD5 in CRAN's live source index; verified GitHub's latest release remains v0.2.1. Rendered the README and release-status article to HTML and checked their release text.
