Output of the post-v1.9 re-audit / architect session (workflow phase 5 → 1). This is the end-of-arc roadmap reconstruction: the v1.6–v1.9 refactor arc is closed, and the year-old v2.0 multi-version plan — whose premises drifted against the code every cycle it drove, twice in v1.9 alone — is retired as a plan and rebuilt as a two-layer roadmap.

Decisions encoded here (made with James in the session):

  • The strategic fork: campaign-first. v1.10 is not the old plan's six cost/perf/scale items; it is a four-item preflight followed by the first full-library enrichment campaign on the real ~5,000-book library. The demoted items become a triggered pull-list — built only when the run demonstrates the need (measure-before-build applied at cycle level).
  • Preflight (ships as v1.10.0): the title/author rules-audit fixes (items 1–2 are outright prompt defects), the usage.py price-table + models.py alias refresh (Jan-2026 data; latest currently bills at Opus 4.7 rates) including the campaign-model decision, manual-flag audit logging (db.py mark_mqg_complete/clear_mqg_flag write no audit entry — the one live correctness gap), and the budget guardrail. Plus the operational usage-tier check.
  • LATER layer: themes only, explicitly aspirational, re-scoped every boundary. The A-Z library-completeness vision is named as the v2.0 destination; the old plan's self-audit flagship is reframed as its measurement layer rather than a rival; no version numbers pinned to intermediate themes.

Touch points:

  • New docs/planning/roadmap.md (the single forward document) and docs/planning/v1.10-charter.md (preflight shipping order, campaign wave mechanics, pull-list discipline, DoD).
  • ROADMAP.md and docs/planning/v2.0-plan-roadmap-construction.md demoted to historical records via banners; content preserved.
  • docs/planning/inbox.md cleared — every entry routed, dispositions recorded in the new docs.
  • CLAUDE.md / docs/planning/workflow.md orientation references updated (including the stale ai.py → ai/ package line).

Verification: docs-only — no code changes, so no test or smoke-test claim is made. All charter premises were verified against origin/main HEAD d8efc48 during the session (file:line cites in the charter); the v1.10 preflight code goes through local Claude per the workflow.

…lot consolidation

Reconstructs the stale v2.0 multi-version plan into a single forward
roadmap (docs/planning/roadmap.md): NOW/NEXT (v1.10 preflight + the
first full-library campaign, fork decided campaign-first) and LATER
(themes only; A-Z completeness as the v2.0 destination, self-audit as
its measurement layer). Adds the v1.10 charter; demotes ROADMAP.md and
the v2.0 plan to historical records; clears the routed inbox; updates
CLAUDE.md / workflow.md orientation references.
