fix: repair install-guidance.json files invisible to the guidance loader - #390
Conversation
- oracle-cloud, solana-cli: install-guidance.json was invalid JSON
(unescaped newlines / quotes inside install_steps strings), so
readInstallGuidanceFile() silently discarded it. Regenerated from
each manifest's embedded install_guidance.
- kalker, nb, nyx, rink, syncable-cli, vx: used a legacy
{install, verify, notes} schema that normalizeInstallGuidance()
cannot read (normalizes to null). Converted to the canonical
{plugin, binary, check, install_steps, note} schema, preserving
the legacy notes as the note field.
- minipostiz-cli, mrpilot: added missing binary checks so
plugins doctor can verify the installed binary.
All install-guidance.json files in plugins/ now parse and follow
the canonical schema; getPluginInstallGuidance() resolves all ten.

I found **`mr-pilot`**, published by **`javimosch`**. The package is described as an AI code reviewer for GitLab merge requests and GitHub pull requests. jsDelivr currently lists **version 1.1.3**, MIT-licensed. ([jsdelivr.com](https://www.jsdelivr.com/package/npm/mr-pilot?tab=files))
I couldn’t verify the package’s **entrypoint** or **exit-status behavior** from the sources available here: the listing doesn’t expose `package.json` or implementation details. So those details remain unresolved; the listing is the closest source I could confirm. ([jsdelivr.com](https://www.jsdelivr.com/package/npm/mr-pilot?tab=files))

Use a probe that mr-pilot supports.
plugins-doctor.js defaults this check to mr-pilot --version. The published mr-pilot@1.1.3 entrypoint treats --version as an option, finds no MR/PR identifier, and exits with status 1. The doctor therefore reports an installed binary as failed. Add --version support to mr-pilot, or replace this check with a command that exits successfully without an MR/PR identifier. --help is not a valid substitute in this version.

Pin the installer to a fixed tag or commit.
The step runs a script from the master branch of the repository. The content can change at any time. A change to that branch runs arbitrary code on the user's machine. The bash -c "$(curl ...)" form also does not use -f. An HTTP error page would run as a script. Use a tagged URL and add -fsSL.

Use the platform-neutral Solana installer.
The current step hardcodes the x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu target. It can fail or install an incompatible target on macOS and ARM hosts. Use the current official installer at release.anza.xyz.
