fix(complete): offer --help and --version when completing flags - #1605
Tab completion for a CLI compiled from the derive never offered -h, --help, -V or --version, even though the parser accepts them and the help page lists them. usage --completions zsh had the same gap for usage itself.
usage-argv: completion now offers the parser's supplied help and version flags, using the same rule the help page uses. A spelling a declared flag already took (hidden ones included) is not offered, disable_help_flag/disable_version_flag are honored, and --version appears only where the parser accepts it.
usage complete-word (the reference engine, used by usage generate completion scripts) now offers the same implicit flags when a spec does not declare them, so both engines agree. Specs that already declare -h/-V (as usage --usage-spec does) are unchanged.
Mounts: merging a mounted spec no longer turns disable_help_flag, disable_help_subcommand or disable_version_flag back off on the command that set them. Previously mise run, which disables --help, regained it from the mounted root.
Completion output for existing CLIs gains -h/--help (and -V/--version on the root), so a few expectations in the completion tests and conformance corpus were updated to include them. cargo test --all --all-features passes.

Note
Medium Risk
Broad completion behavior change across Rust, Go, and CLI reference engines; mount merge logic for help/version disable flags could affect mounted CLIs if mis-merged.
Overview
Tab completion now suggests -h / --help (and -V / --version where the parser accepts them), matching what the parser and help page already expose—previously only declared flags appeared.
The Rust argv engine reworks flag_forms to merge declared flags with help::supplied_entries, skip spellings already claimed (including hidden declarations), honor disable_* flags, treat default-subcommand flags separately from parser-owned supplied flags, and use an in_view path so --version can come from the root in views. complete-word adds add_supplied_flags with the same rules. Go argv adds suppliedCompletions for parity.
Mounted specs: merging a mount no longer clears disable_help_flag, disable_help_subcommand, or disable_version_flag on the host command (e.g. mise run no longer regains --help from the mounted root).
Tests and the completion conformance corpus were updated for the new candidates.

New Features
Command-line completions now suggest built-in --help and -h options, plus --version and -V where version support applies.
Bug Fixes
Completions respect settings that disable help or version options, and declared flags take precedence over built-in options with the same spelling.
Mounted commands preserve help and version settings from the receiving command.
Completions keep applicable global flags available in subcommands while respecting command-specific flag scope.

Walkthrough
Completion now includes parser-supplied help and version flags when allowed by command settings and scope. Declared flags take precedence over matching supplied spellings. Mount merging preserves the receiving command’s help and version disable settings.
Changes: Flag completion

Summary
Add supplied flag candidates argv/src/complete.rs, cli/src/cli/complete_word.rs, go/argv/complete.go
Completion implementations add applicable parser-supplied flags and omit spellings claimed by declared flags. Executable-view completion sources version entries from the root.
Preserve mount disable settings lib/src/spec/cmd.rs
Mount merging retains the receiving command’s help and version disable settings.
Validate supplied flag candidates argv/src/complete.rs, cli/tests/complete_word.rs, cli/tests/shell_completions_integration.rs, conformance/tests/completion.rs, corpus/complete/*
Tests and corpus expectations include supplied flags across prefixes, subcommands, mounted commands, delegated completion, and restart-token cases.
jdx/usage#1604: The issue reports missing help and version flags in generated completions. This change adds parser-supplied candidates in several completion paths, but does not establish coverage of every generated-script path.

Completion remains slightly misleading in narrow mounted and default-command configurations, but the issues do not block normal command execution and can be addressed with bounded follow-up.

Update add_supplied_flags to supply the missing short help candidate for “-?”
alongside the existing “--help” and “-h” candidates. Preserve the existing
spelling check so a declared “-?” flag is not duplicated, and keep short-flag
completion limited to individual flags rather than bundles.

Shadow comparison
Parsing mise use -g node@20 against a shadow of mise's committed spec.
Reported, not gated: the shadow grows as the derive learns to express more, so
what to watch is the ratio rather than either column.
usage 7.2.0 (jdx/usage#1605) offers -h/--help in tab completion, so
completing after a task name lists the task's own --help too. The test
installs the latest usage, which broke it on main.

The v2026.11.0 docs deploy went out without the landing-page showreel,
and the run only logged a warning. The showreel job's captures failed
against mise 2026.11.0, and the cache had no earlier render to fall back
to. The docs job then built and deployed the site without the reel, so
mise.jdx.dev lost its homepage video without anyone being told.
Trusted docs runs outside pull requests (releases, pushes to main,
`workflow_dispatch`) now fail instead of building the site without a
reel:
- **The showreel job did not succeed** (failed, or dropped from the
`docs-showreel-volume` queue). The step that used to warn now errors
with the job's result.
- **The showreel job left no render.** "Put the showreel in place"
errors instead of carrying on.
- **The site builds only with the reel removed.** The second build that
dropped the reel is gone, so a failed build fails the job.
Unchanged:
- When a render fails, the showreel job still restores the last good
render from the cache. A stale reel still counts as a reel.
- Pull-request and untrusted runs don't run the showreel job and still
build without one.
Tradeoffs:
- **Releases fail until the reel renders again.** The captures failures
(C8, C14, C17 against 2026.11.0) are being fixed separately, so until
that lands, every release's docs deploy will fail.
- **A dropped showreel job now fails the deploy.** The showreel job
shares one Namespace volume, and GitHub keeps only the newest waiting
job for it. A release whose showreel job is dropped that way now fails,
and a rerun once the volume is free deploys it.
Also in this PR: `e2e/tasks/test_task_completion_global_flags` now
expects a task's own `--help` after the task name (`mise run deploy
--<TAB>` offers `--bump`, `--env`, `--help`, `--output-dir`). usage
7.2.0 (jdx/usage#1605) added `-h`/`--help` to tab completion. The test
installs the latest `usage`, so main started failing it, and `mise run
deploy --help` does print the task's usage.
Validation: `hk run check` (jactionlint, oxfmt, shellcheck, shfmt)
passes on the changed files, and the completion test passes against
usage 7.2.0. The workflow change itself runs only on trusted runs, so I
haven't run it.

* **Documentation**
* Clarified that a docs deployment fails if no rendered showreel is
available.
* **Bug Fixes**
* Trusted docs builds now fail when showreel setup fails or required
render files are missing. Builds run once and no longer retry without
the showreel, while still using the last successful render as a fallback
when available.
* Task command completions now include `--help`; existing options such
as `--bump`, `--env`, and `--output-dir` remain available.
