Welcome to my GitHub

I’m Jeremy Palmerio, I studied theortical physics at the Mastricht Science Programme, and data science at the University of Amsterdam.

I’m interested in using data science for scientific and environmental problems, especially in areas like climate risk, geospatial modelling, bioacoustics, and wildlife monitoring.

What I work on

  • Deep learning for environmental and geospatial modelling
  • Computer vision for wildlife research
  • Bioacoustics and passive acoustic monitoring research

Tools I use

Python, R, PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, GeoPandas, rasterio, matplotlib, Git, Linux, and Jupyter.

Current focus

I’m currently working on projects involving vessel detection in acoustic recordings, and computer vision tools for wildlife research.
