Neutral NPC targets now receive dedicated portrait and unit-frame artwork for ten creature types: Beast, Humanoid, Undead, Demon, Dragonkin, Elemental, Mechanical, Giant, Critter and Aberration. Automatic matching uses public creature-type data, honors fixed and city artwork first, and preserves the existing fallback when a type is unavailable or restricted.
Adds 20 runtime textures, a Creatures collection, and the default-enabled “Match NPC creature types” control for Target and Focus. Existing cast trims and fills are reused. Includes artwork provenance, a reproducible asset builder, documentation, and the 1.0.1 version update for separate Retail and Forever releases.
Validation: 438 Lua behavior tests pass; 26 Python tests pass with four optional source-library audits skipped; exact package contents, transparency, runtime hashes and cast-preview consistency pass. Both packages contain 354 files. All 298 existing media assets are byte-for-byte unchanged. Live in-game validation has not been performed.
