Final PR of the static-site phase (ADR 0003). Adds the deploy pipeline and custom domain. Please do not merge until Pages is enabled (see below); merging triggers a real deploy attempt.

Domain updated to new.blimacake.com (owner's choice).

What changed

  • .github/workflows/pages.yml. Builds the Eleventy site and the Pagefind index (npm ci then npm run build) and deploys it to GitHub Pages with the official upload-pages-artifact / deploy-pages actions. Runs on pushes to main that touch the site or recipes, and on manual dispatch. Scoped permissions (pages: write, id-token: write).
  • site/CNAME with new.blimacake.com, passthrough-copied into the built site.
  • site/_data/site.js base URL set to https://new.blimacake.com so canonical, Open Graph, sitemap, and JSON-LD links use it.
  • docs/site-deploy.md with the one-time owner setup and the DNS record.

Verified locally

  • npm run build produces the full site, the Pagefind search index, sitemap.xml, the CNAME, and the embedded BlimaCake.epub; canonical/sitemap/robots/CNAME all use new.blimacake.com.
  • Workflow YAML is valid.
  • No cook-from value touched; dash guard and markdownlint clean.

One-time setup before this goes live (DNS advice)

  1. Make the repo public (Pages needs public on the free plan).
  2. Settings > Pages > Source = GitHub Actions.
  3. DNS: add a CNAME record, host new, target jposluns.github.io. (that is the account's Pages host, not the repo).
  4. Settings > Pages > Custom domain = new.blimacake.com, then enable Enforce HTTPS once the cert issues.

Until Pages is enabled, the deploy step fails by design. Once it is enabled, merging this PR (or any later push touching the site) deploys automatically.

Add .github/workflows/pages.yml to build the Eleventy site plus the
Pagefind index and publish to GitHub Pages, and a CNAME
(github.blimacake.com) shipped in the built site. Deploys run on pushes
to main that touch the site or recipes, and on manual dispatch. Add
docs/site-deploy.md with the one-time owner setup (public repo, Pages
source = GitHub Actions, DNS CNAME to jposluns.github.io, custom domain
and HTTPS) and a note on moving the apex later.

Verified: full npm run build produces the site, search index, sitemap,
CNAME, and epub; workflow YAML is valid.

Owner changed the subdomain from github.blimacake.com to
new.blimacake.com. Update CNAME, the site canonical/OG/sitemap/robots
base URL (site/_data/site.js), the pages workflow comment, the deploy
doc (including the DNS host cell: new), and ADR 0003. Also restore the
PR 3 CHANGELOG bullet header that was accidentally merged into the PR 4
entry.

Rebuilt: CNAME, canonical, sitemap, and robots all use new.blimacake.com.
