…our crashed commands (Event 172) The doc-claims-vs-reality sweep (13 findings) plus what fixing them uncovered: REVIVED: `episteme surface / evidence / verify / practice` — the commands THE_WAY_TO_THINK calls the operator's practice UX — CRASHED from the installed entry point (ModuleNotFoundError: core), because they import the repo-root `core.*` packages that the installed tree does not carry and only a repo-cwd sys.path accident ever made work. Each entry module now resolves the repo root from its own file before the core imports; verified working from a foreign cwd. TRUTH REPAIRS, worst first: - COMPLIANCE_CROSSWALK: the Brier/coverage "Direct control" row now states PLANNED-not-implemented (grep 'brier' across code: zero hits; the implemented report is a per-day success-rate trend), and the phantom core/manifest.py module rows point at the real code. Three of these phantoms were sitting in the doc-references BASELINE as accepted drift — fixed, baseline shrunk per its own contract. - agent_feedback.md (ships into EVERY session's always-on context) still listed PLAN.md/PROGRESS.md/COGNITIVE_SYSTEM_PLAYBOOK.md as governance surfaces — all retired or renamed. - kernel/: FALSIFIABILITY_CONDITIONS pointed disconfirmation actions at two modules that never existed under those names; ARTIFACT_TAXONOMY taught agents that PLAN/PROGRESS are live authoritative state; HOOKS_MAP still nudged toward PLAN; REASONING_SURFACE called domain/tacit_call "required" when no validator reads them (now "optional, logged"). - docs/EVENTS.md symlink WIRED (the handoff convention's target was asymmetric — NEXT_STEPS linked, EVENTS not). - COMMANDS.md promised "every subcommand" while omitting 12; now complete (13 — the new drift test immediately caught one the sweep itself missed) with reviewed_as_of bumped, and tests/test_commands_doc_drift.py CI-enforces the promise in both directions. - LAYER_MODEL in-repo doc set, CUSTOMIZATION paths + python claim, REFERENCES typo. Suite 1766 + 91 subtests, 0 failed; docs lint + index clean.

The doc-claims-vs-reality sweep returned 13 findings; fixing them uncovered one more live break.
Revived:
episteme surface / evidence / verify / practice— the operator-practice UX — crashed from the installed entry point (ModuleNotFoundError: core); only a repo-cwd accident ever made them work. Entry modules now self-resolve the repo root; verified from a foreign cwd.Truth repairs: the compliance crosswalk's Brier/coverage row is now honestly PLANNED (zero
brierhits in code) and its phantomcore/manifest.pyrows point at real modules — three of these phantoms had been sitting in the doc-references baseline as accepted drift; the always-onagent_feedback.mdno longer lists retired PLAN/PROGRESS/COGNITIVE_SYSTEM_PLAYBOOK as governance surfaces; kernel FALSIFIABILITY actions no longer target modules that never existed; ARTIFACT_TAXONOMY/HOOKS_MAP/LAYER_MODEL drop retired docs; REASONING_SURFACE'sdomain/tacit_callare correctly "optional, logged" (no validator reads them); thedocs/EVENTS.mdsymlink is finally wired (handoff target was asymmetric with NEXT_STEPS).Loop-closer: COMMANDS.md gains its 13 missing rows and
tests/test_commands_doc_drift.pyenforces the "every subcommand" promise both directions — it caught a 13th omission the sweep itself missed, on its first run.Suite 1766 + 91, 0 failed; docs lint + index clean.
