I develop latent component based methods for multivariate 'omics data integration. I am Professor of Statistical Genomics at the University of Melbourne, Director of Melbourne Integrative Genomics, and a Chief Investigator in the ARC Centre of Excellence in Quantum Biotechnology.
I began writing what became mixOmics in 2008, and released the first version in 2009. It is now an R toolkit on Bioconductor, used by more than 50,000 researchers a year, and in 2025 I co-founded mixOmics Pro with Mike Rennie to secure its future and extend what it can do.
