- I live in Canada and I enjoy spending my time doing outdoorsy things.
- I believe technology should get out of our way to let us live more fulfilling lives, and that we have to work towards a more equitable society where people come before profits.
🧑💻 I’m a full-stack software developer with a background in mobile apps.
- I work in a full-stack style since 2019: JavaScript (TypeScript) & React and Ruby & Rails are the two stacks I use day-to-day. I am driven by learning new technologies and approaches.
- Since 2025 I've started adopting an AI-assisted approach to software development. The tool I use the most is Cursor.
- My background is in mobile apps, because that's how I got my start working as a software developer in the tech industry. I've professionally built native iOS apps since 2012 (Swift, Objective-C), as well as react-native since 2019 (TypeScript, Flow). I live and breathe mobile UX. A co-worker once called me a "frontend god".
- Fun-fact: I built my first website in 2001.
🌱 I’m currently focusing on growing my full stack development skill-set.
- Building APIs (GraphQL or REST) and UIs that consume them with an end-to-end understanding is not just satisfying, but also leads to more performant, reliable and scalable designs.
- System design, database design, and architecture. These are some of the areas I'm trying to optimize towards learning nowadays.
