🛠️ Setup Instructions

  1. Install Dependencies: It is recommended to use a virtual environment:

    python3 -m venv venv
    source venv/bin/activate
    pip install -r requirements.txt
  2. Generate Placeholder Videos: This project requires videos. Run the setup script to generate automatic placeholder videos for testing purposes.

    python setup_dataset.py
  3. Start the Flask Server:

    python app.py
  4. Open in Browser: Navigate to http://localhost:5000

📁 Dataset Download Instructions

For the real authentic experience, you should replace the placeholder videos with actual ASL/ISL videos.

Name the files according to the word (e.g., hello.mp4) and place them in the corresponding static/gestures/asl/ or static/gestures/isl/ directories.
