TradeNova is a full-stack stock trading platform built using the MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js).

The project simulates the workflow of an online trading platform, allowing users to manage holdings, positions, and orders through a modern dashboard. It demonstrates how a real-world full-stack application is structured, from frontend development to backend APIs and database integration.

Note: This is an educational and portfolio project created to learn full-stack development. It does not process real trades or real money.

🔄 How It Works

1. The user interacts with the React application.
2. React sends API requests to the Express backend.
3. The backend validates the request and processes business logic.
4. MongoDB stores or retrieves the required data.
5. The backend returns a JSON response.
6. React updates the user interface dynamically.

🚀 Getting Started

Clone the repository

git clone https://github.com/kunal-sonawane/TradeNova.git

Install dependencies

Install dependencies separately inside each project.

cd backend
npm install

cd ../frontend
npm install

cd ../dashboard
npm install

Configure Environment Variables

Create a .env file inside the backend folder.

PORT=3002
MONGO_URL=your_mongodb_connection_string
JWT_SECRET=your_secret_key

Run the project

Backend

cd backend
npm start

Frontend

cd frontend
npm start

Dashboard

cd dashboard
npm start
