BossOrder WatchTower — Patch Notes

The app has been fully rewritten from the ground up.

Migrated from Electron to Tauri 2 — the app is now powered by a native Rust backend. Significantly lighter, faster startup, and lower memory usage.
Runs in the system tray — the app stays alive in the background after closing the window. Access it anytime via the tray icon.
Automatic file monitoring — WatchTower now watches your linked files in real-time and detects changes automatically without any manual refresh.
Auto-upload — when a tracked file changes, WatchTower uploads it to BossOrder automatically. Can be toggled per tournament.

Tournament ID column now shows play_id — the ID displayed under each tournament name now matches the play ID used in your files, making it easier to verify which file links to which tournament.

Smart Tournament File selection modal — when a new Tournament file is detected, WatchTower automatically finds matching tournaments from your BossOrder account and presents them for linking.
Player files support — player list files can now be tracked alongside TDF files.

In-app OAuth login — sign in with Google (or other providers) directly inside the app via a secure webview. No external browser required.

macOS Universal binary — single installer runs natively on both Apple Silicon (M-series) and Intel Macs.
Windows MSI + NSIS + MSIX — three Windows installer formats available. MSIX is now available through the Microsoft Store.
Signed & notarized — builds are code-signed on both macOS (Developer ID) and Windows.
