A verifiable grounding layer for German, Austrian, Swiss and EU law.
Statutes and case law as canonical, versioned objects — with provenance, sub-units addressable down to the sentence, and a typed citation graph between them. A research app for lawyers at kvasir.legal, and a REST/MCP API for legal AI at kvasir.legal/developers.
| Jurisdictions | German federal law · Bavaria · North Rhine-Westphalia · Saxony · Brandenburg · Bremen · Austria · Switzerland · EU |
| Corpus | ~460,000 norms from ~38,000 acts · ~512,000 court decisions · ~1.4M citation edges |
| Freshness | checked against the official sources daily (weekly for Saxony and Bremen) |
| Live numbers | /api/v1/status |
Retrieval APIs fetch documents. kvasir adds the inverse operation: hand over the citations your model produced and get back which ones exist, whether the quoted wording matches the official text, and whether the provision is still in force. Deterministic lookups against the corpus — no second model judging the first.
