[Suggestion] Block connectors

Ey, fantastic mod. Makes things so much pretties and upens up for so much more with chains, especially diagonal wise, and so much more.

The only thing I'm really missing is a way to be able to hook the chains up to regular blocks somehow.

A wall, fence or iron bar makes perfect sense to just tie it around, like it is now.
But I tried to make a little balcony fence with the chains, and realised that I can't hook it to the wall of the house since they are blocks, not fences, bars or walls.
So going from a block to a fence for instance, didn't work.

Just allowing the chains to attack to a block would ofc feel weird, but I have an idea.
What I'd love to see, is a new item. Like a little hook/loop of a sort that can be attached to any side of a block. Top, bottom and all 4 walls.
Kind of if you screwed up a little hook/loop on a wall in your real life home and then tied a rope to it.

That way we have the rope/chain, and we craft a little hook that we place of a block, and that gives us an anchor point on solid blocks aswell. (technically it attaches to the block right next to the solid block, but you get the point).

I would draw a quick sketch to help my vision, but I'm on my phone right now, so I'll add that when I'm back on the pc!

Regardless, I do want to say that I aim for this mod to be very vanilla+.
I do understand your concern, and I was thinking perhaps something a tripwire-hook might also work.

Here is a quick sketch that would definitely feel proper into the vanilla+.
The idea is, as you sorta see on this superquick ugly paint sketch, a small metallic plate with a D loop on it, that you can attach the chain/rope onto.
The hook would function similar to the tripwire hook as you mentioned, in that it is attached to the side of a block (or ontop or below), and acts as an achor point for the ropes/chains.
I would make it smaller than the tripwire hook thou which almost takes up an entire block in size.
Looking at my quick sketch, i'd set the thickness of the plate to be 1 or 2 pixels (if we go by the default 16 pixel textures), so like a pressure plate in thickness, and the hook, well not very big, just a little hook that the rope can attach to, which might need t's own knot model, since the knot model for a fence is a large wide clump so it can reach around the fencepole. The hook is much smaller so the knot might just be a tiny little bump, if any.

Not really convinced yet wether this falls in the scope of the mod.
Especially creating a custom block for this. I would prefer allowing connections to a tripwire-hook.

I will be experimenting with it.
