extended message ranges broken?

I'm trying to use SCAT over USB with an oneplus 6t running postmarketos and current master.
I've 2 oneplus 6t with different modem firmware versions. I expect this isn't related to the different firmware version.

One is running android / lineageos
One is running postmarket os.

SCAT doesn't seem to able to export the Extended message ranges from the different components.
