Checkout currently requires card input despite having no payment processor, leaves wallet buttons disabled, and checks inventory too late. This change makes payment stubs explicit and usable, comments out pickup for the delivery-only MVP, removes recurring checkout controls, and refreshes stock during checkout and immediately before submission.
It also recognises Visa and both Mastercard ranges, supplies preset test cards without saving or submitting card details, preserves the saved drop-off address, prevents stale delivery quotes from enabling checkout for another location, and shows order updates on the Alerts page even when a live event was missed.

Backend dependency: lordlabakdas/groceror#76. Merge the backend first for automatic confirmation and delivery radius enforcement.
Validation: 10 Playwright regressions passed across a nine-test run and an additional stale-quote test; production build passed. npm run check reports the same pre-existing server/vite.ts:42 allowedHosts typing error in both the original checkout and this worktree.
Payments are demonstration stubs, not real charges or tokenized saved cards. Browser tests mock API responses; live courier and payment integrations remain outside this change.
