PrintTuner Core

Live tool: https://printtuner.com

PrintTuner is an AI-powered 3D printing parameter optimizer designed to eliminate visual print defects, reduce filament waste, and bypass the tedious process of manual calibration prints.

The Problem

Standard slicer software (Cura, PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer) provides hundreds of customizable parameters. When a print fails due to issues like stringing, under-extrusion, or poor bed adhesion, users are forced to run time-consuming test towers and manually guess subsequent parameter offsets.

Features

  • Intelligent Parameter Generation: Calculate optimal temperatures, speeds, and retraction settings based on your hardware and material specs.
  • Hardware-Constrained Validation: Safety boundaries prevent the engine from generating extreme values that could cause hotend clogs or mechanical damage.
  • Targeted Troubleshooting: Input visual defects to receive specific, corrective parameter offsets.

Tech Stack

  • Frontend/Backend: Next.js, Tailwind CSS
  • Data Persistence: PostgreSQL (Supabase)
  • Optimization Engine: TypeScript, Zod Schema Validation, structured AI API logic

How to Use

  1. Clone the repository: git clone https://github.com/ludydev/print-tuner-core.git
  2. Install dependencies: npm install
  3. Configure your local environment variables for the database and LLM API.
  4. Run the development server: npm run dev
  5. Open http://localhost:3000 to access the local tuning wizard.
