What changed

  • clarifies the current source version, supported systems, Intel status, and unsigned public binary status in the README
  • adds a concise English overview for international visitors
  • adds GitHub Actions CI on the official macOS 26 Apple Silicon runner
  • adds structured bug report and feature request forms
  • disables unstructured blank issues and links to the documentation

Repository metadata was also cleaned separately: the obsolete deprecated and needs-rework topics were removed, relevant discovery topics were added, and the obsolete wrong-version warning issue was closed with an explanation.

Why

The public repository still looked deprecated even though main now contains the rewritten 1.3.6 application. It also lacked automated checks and clear issue intake, while the absence of a Developer ID-signed public binary was not prominent enough.

Impact

Visitors get an accurate statement of project maturity and platform support. Contributors get repeatable build validation and focused issue templates. This PR does not publish or imply the availability of a notarized binary.

Validation

  • 29 unit tests passed locally
  • Release build succeeded locally
  • Xcode Analyze succeeded locally
  • all new YAML files parse successfully
  • git diff --check passed
