refactor: rename ISO week and year properties to woy and yow across t… - #111
Add custom Tempo getters and methods with defineProperty and defineProperties; getters are memoized by default.
Add Julian Day conversion, expanded civil-date inputs, array conversion helpers, and branded type guards.
Formatting can use safe Tempo properties as tokens. Geographic data includes a resolved sphere, aliases can return date-time values directly, and secured objects support JSON serialization.
Enum reflection and derivation are available through the static Enum API.
Improvements
Tempo.now() returns a Tempo instance and accepts configuration options; use Tempo.derive() for isolated variants.
Improve array handling in reflection and coercion utilities.
Breaking Changes
Replace Tempo.create() with Tempo.derive(), Enum.extend() with Enum.derive(), and nano with epoch.ns. ISO week getters are now yow and woy.
Weekday and month enums use numeric values starting at 1. Legacy catch-all entries and enum instance helpers are no longer available.
Tempo’s v5 changes update time, enum, plugin, and sandbox APIs. The library adds calendar and primitive utilities and branded guards. The PR also changes alias normalization, review reporting, worker selection, and package publishing.
Changes: Tempo APIs and Runtime
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Time access, getters, and formatting packages/tempo/src/tempo.class.ts, packages/tempo/src/module/*, packages/tempo/src/engine/*, packages/tempo/test/*, packages/tempo/doc/*, packages/plugins/sync/src/AtomicClock.ts, packages/plugins/geo/test/geo.test.ts
Tempo.now() now returns a Tempo instance. Nanosecond access uses epoch.ns; ISO week getters use yow and woy. Formatting can resolve safe instance getters.
Enum API and consumers packages/library/src/common/runtime/enumerate.library.ts, packages/tempo/src/support/support.enum.ts, packages/tempo/src/module/*, packages/library/src/browser/tapper.class.ts, packages/tempo/test/*, packages/tempo/doc/*
Enum reflection uses static Enum helpers, and Enum.derive() replaces Enum.extend(). Weekday and month registries use explicit values from 1 to 7 and 1 to 12.
defineProperties and defineProperty validate and install getters and methods. Getters are memoized per instance by default; descriptors can disable memoization.
Plugin registration and sandbox lifecycle packages/tempo/src/support/*, packages/tempo/src/tempo.class.ts, packages/tempo/test/core/sandbox-*.test.ts, packages/tempo/doc/*, packages/tempo/test/tsconfig.json
Tempo.use() delegates to usePlugin, and Tempo.derive() delegates sandbox creation to createSandbox. Sandbox disposal restores discovery and plugin-version state.
Calendar conversion accepts numeric components, UTC Date values, or component objects. The library adds Julian Day conversion and indexed array conversion.
The command fetches paginated reviews, parses categorized top-level comments, and combines them with unresolved inline findings. Output includes separate counts and reports review-fetch failures.

Explanation
The title names a change that the changeset makes. The summaries show t.ww/t.wy replaced by t.woy, t.yw replaced by t.yow, and tests updated to use woy and yow. The title is cut off at "across t…", so it names the scope only in part. The title also places the rename first and leaves out the larger changes in this PR, such as the Tempo.create to Tempo.derive rename, the Tempo.now() return type change, and the new defineProperties API. The title is still related to the main change and does not mislead. The title is partially related to the changeset because it covers one aspect of a large multi-part PR. It also has a truncation problem that hurts readability.

Remove stale plugin versions when the registry resets.
71-73: Minor · Functional Correctness · Poor tradeoff
Remove stale plugin versions when the registry resets.
registryReset() clears rt.extensions and rt.installed, but it does not change rt.versions. After a reset, Tempo.versions can still list plugins that are no longer installed, although its documented contract covers the active versions of registered plugins and modules.
Clear the non-core plugin entries from rt.versions in the reset path. Keep the core module entries. Before changing the reset path, confirm that the core re-registration in the reset hook at packages/tempo/src/tempo.index.ts:31 rewrites the core entries in rt.versions. Clear the installed marker when a named plugin's install throws.
202-216: Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Clear the installed marker when a named plugin's install throws.
The named-plugin branch adds the plugin name to installed before registerPlugin and install run. If install throws, the name stays in installed. A later use without explicit options then returns at the "already installed" guard, and the install does not run again. Wrap the block in a try that removes the name and rethrows the error. Clearing the marker is enough for a retry. addPlugin and addExtension already skip or replace existing entries, so a second registration does not duplicate them.

Update alias entries when a term definition is refreshed.
When a term re-registers with the same key, scope, description, and ranges, and with nonempty options, the duplicate-registration branch updates the key and scope entries but not the aliases. Pass a real Temporal.PlainDate to the Temporal assertion.

Reject numeric array elements in the Enumify constructor type.
199-199: Minor · Functional Correctness · Low value
Reject numeric array elements in the Enumify constructor type.
The constructor parameter includes readonly any[], so new Enumify([1]) type-checks. At runtime, enumify throws TypeError for numeric array elements. The declared constructor type does not match this runtime rule. Either the type must exclude numeric elements, or the runtime must accept them.

Constrain the Enum.extend array overload to string members.
130-130: Minor · Functional Correctness · Low value
Constrain the Enum.extend array overload to string members.
The array overload accepts readonly any[], so Enum.extend(BASE, [1]) type-checks. At runtime, enumify checks each array member with isNumeric and throws a TypeError for numeric members. The overload therefore accepts a call that always fails when any member is numeric. The declared return type Index<E> also advertises a key "1" that is never created.
This mismatch exists before this change. The base extend signature also accepted any[], and the same numeric check throws at base.

Match keyOf values exactly, with a loose fallback for own keys.
114-114: Minor · Functional Correctness · Low value
Match keyOf values exactly, with a loose fallback for own keys.
Object.fromEntries converts each member value to a property key. In an enum such as { Numeric: 1, Text: '1' }, both values write to the key "1". keyOf(Enum, 1) then returns 'Text'. includes checks the values directly and returns true for both 1 and '1', so the two methods disagree. The object branch of enumify does not check member value types, so a mixed-type enum can reach this path.
Check for an exact value match first, keeping the last key for equal values. Use the coerced lookup only for own keys, so inherited Object.prototype members are not returned.
Suggested fix
keyOf<T extends Property<any>>(enumObj: T, search: LooseKey<ValueOf<T>> | any): KeyOf<T> | undefined {
- return (enumMethods.invert(enumObj) as any)[search];+ let match: KeyOf<T> | undefined;+ for (const [key, val] of enumMethods.entries(enumObj))+ if (val === search || Object.is(val, search)) match = key; // last key wins for equal values+ if (match !== undefined) return match;++ const inverted = enumMethods.invert(enumObj) as any;+ return Object.hasOwn(inverted, search) ? inverted[search] : undefined;
},
The fallback keeps the loose lookup that the declared parameter type allows. LooseKey includes PropertyKey, so keyOf(numericEnum, '2') is accepted by the signature. A strict-only match would return undefined for that call. The in-repo callers and tests pass numbers, but the fallback keeps string-form lookups unchanged. Object.is covers NaN and -0, as includes does.

In support.plugin.ts, registerPlugin runs before the install call. The catch block then removes only the installed marker and rethrows. The plugin record stays in pluginsDb.plugins. Tempo.hasModule checks that list by name, so it returns true for the failed bundle.
A complete fix needs a way to remove the record from pluginsDb.plugins and extensions, or it needs registration to move after a successful install. The repository has no per-entry removal for either list, so the correction is not yet established.

Check enum identity before using a base object as a prototype.
133-133: Minor · Functional Correctness · Low value
Check enum identity before using a base object as a prototype.
Enum.derive treats any object for which Enum[Symbol.hasInstance] returns true as an enum. A plain object with Symbol.toStringTag set to 'Enumify' passes that check, so it is used as the prototype without conversion. The derived object can then lack the iterator that the shared ENUM prototype defines. Build the base through enumify, or check the prototype chain for ENUM, instead of relying on the tag.

When a properties plugin name already ends in Plugin, the install path stores the version under FooPlugin. Disposed sandbox instances resolve plugin lookups through global state.
After Symbol.dispose, the sandbox's ClassStates entry is deleted. The static $Internal lookup then falls back to _global. Static hasModule reads this[$Internal](), and instance hasModule delegates to that static method. A retained disposed instance therefore reads the global plugin registry. Decide whether these lookups should throw, return false, or report disposal. Apply that decision to the static lookups, the instance hasModule path, and the guard fallbacks together. The isSandbox getter reports brand identity only. It does not report liveness. Keep the change out of that getter.
Publication note: the attribution record for this question is pre_existing. The same disposal, fallback, and delegation chain exists at the merge base, and this PR does not extend its reach. A minor pre-existing finding is excluded from publication. No proposed diff is included. A safe edit is not established: the $Internal fallback at packages/tempo/src/tempo.class.ts:142-143 also serves non-sandbox classes, and the inspected lookup has no disposed marker to distinguish a disposed sandbox from them.

The test name says it preserves iteration, but no assertion iterates derived. It checks Enum.keys(derived) and Enum.entries(derived). Those helpers do not go through the derived [Symbol.iterator], so a missing or broken iterator would still pass this test. Add a spread assertion after the Enum.entries check. The iterator yields Enum.entries(this), so the expected pairs match the existing Enum.entries expectation.

Clear sandbox plugin versions on disposal.

Clear sandbox plugin versions on disposal.
usePlugin writes a named plugin's version to the shared runtime registry (rt.versions). Sandbox disposal does not remove those entries. After a sandbox installs a versioned plugin and is disposed, Tempo.versions still reports the plugin, even though it was installed only on the disposed sandbox class. Record the version keys each sandbox writes. In the sandbox's Symbol.dispose handler, restore the prior value for each key, or delete the key when none existed before the sandbox's write.

Keep the inherited catch value when a sandbox omits the option.
When a sandbox is created without a catch option, init inherits the parent's catch value. The $setConfig call at line 115 then overwrites it with false. An invalid plugin passed to that sandbox throws a TypeError even when the parent has catch: true. The sandbox should log the error instead, as plugins do under catch: true.

Assert atomic rejection in the writable-combination test.
Assert atomic rejection in the writable-combination test.
Removing the pass-1 check at plugin.util.ts:425-426 makes this test fail. The getAndWritable entry takes the memoized getter branch, which builds a descriptor without writable. Native Object.defineProperty accepts that descriptor, so the bundle installs without throwing and the toThrow assertion fails.
The test does not detect a different regression. If the same check moved into the second loop, the single-entry bundle would still throw the same message before any property is defined. The bundle has no valid entry before the invalid descriptor, and the test asserts no state. Atomic rejection could break without failing this test.
Add a valid entry before getAndWritable. Then assert that it is undefined after the throw, as the get+value test does.

Stop the summary path match from consuming trailing prose.
79-81: Minor · Functional Correctness · Low value
Stop the summary path match from consuming trailing prose.
The pattern at packages/tempo-cli/commands/review-pr.js:79 can match text after a file path. Its character class accepts spaces. The anchored + quantifier takes as much text as possible, then backtracks only to the last .extension. For a summary such as src/a.ts - prefer foo.bar, the whole string matches and contains /, so filePath is set to that full string. Line 119 stores it as path, and the text output prints it as File:.
Do not fix this by removing the space or + from the character class. That change drops valid names such as src/my file.ts and src/c++.ts, because the pattern then fails to match them. A correction must end the path before the separator that precedes trailing prose, and it must keep spaces and + inside filenames.

Restore the nearest live predecessor when disposing a named sandbox.
61-65: Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Restore the nearest live predecessor when disposing a named sandbox.
With three sandboxes that share one discovery name, disposing the middle sandbox and then the last sandbox deletes the shared global entry. The first sandbox is still live, but its discovery getter then returns only { scope: 'discovery' }. cleanupSandbox checks only the immediate predecessor. That predecessor is the disposed middle sandbox, so the first sandbox's entry is never restored.
Store predecessor records in a module-level WeakMap, and walk past disposed entries before restoring. The map must outlive a single createSandbox call. A map declared inside createSandbox cannot serve this case, because each call creates its own map. The last sandbox's map has no record of the middle sandbox's predecessor. Apply the same lookup to the catch path.

A GitHub blob link with a branch or tag ref, such as blob/main/src/a.ts#L42, does not match. If that link is the only file reference in an item, filePath and line stay empty. Line 108 then skips the item with continue, so it never reaches findings and is missing from the JSON and text output.
Replacing [a-f0-9]+ with [^\/]+ accepts single-segment branch and tag refs and keeps hex refs working. Refs that contain /, such as feature/x, are still unsupported. With this pattern, blob/feature/x/src/a.ts yields the path x/src/a.ts, so this regex alone cannot resolve those links.

Check every prototype level before caching enum member lists.
Enum.keys, Enum.values, Enum.entries, and Enum.invert cache their results only when the target object is frozen. A derived enum inherits from its base enum. When the base target is unlocked, a later raw write to the base adds keys that the cached list omits. Enum.has reads the cached keys list, so it returns false for an inherited key. Document the stale-snapshot case for frozen enums with accessor members.
For a frozen enum, Enum.values caches its result on first call. Enum.includes reads that cache. A getter that reads changing state is evaluated once and kept as a snapshot. After the state changes, Enum.includes can reject the value that Enum.get returns. The merge base has the same divergence for frozen enums. This PR narrows the affected cases to frozen targets. Non-frozen targets recompute each call.
Keys do not go stale from a changing accessor value. Keys hold property names, and a getter's return value does not change them. Keys are cached only for frozen targets, so the cache affects membership only if the set of own properties changes.

Failed same-name install removes the predecessor's owner entry, so its version survives disposal.
When a same-name properties plugin install throws, the catch at support.plugin.ts:250-256 restores the previous version string and deletes the versionOwners entry for the key. It does not restore the previous owner. If another live sandbox owned that key, its later disposal finds no owner in support.sandbox.ts:81-96. The disposal then takes the no-op else branch, so rt.versions[key] keeps the disposed sandbox's version after disposal.

Keep the live owner's version when a sandbox disposes.

Accept a blob-link split only when its own ref contains the file.
The prRef fallback accepts any split whose file exists on the PR head ref, even when that split's ref segment names a different ref. For blob/feature/src/foo.ts, this happens when the checkout contains src/foo.ts, the PR head contains src/foo.ts, and feature does not contain src/foo.ts. The first split (feature + src/foo.ts) is then accepted. The finding is listed under src/foo.ts instead of foo.ts, in both text and JSON output.
Remove the fallback. A split is then accepted only when its own ref contains the file. For this link, feature/src + foo.ts is accepted when foo.ts exists in the checkout. Links whose ref is not available locally, including unfetched commit SHAs, now keep the full blob URL as the path. They no longer resolve to a local path through the PR head. Outside a git checkout, the !root check still accepts the first existing split.

Limit the inline line fallback to the finding's header line.
The fallback at packages/tempo-cli/commands/review-pr.js:280-283 searches the whole item block, including the body. A body example such as `42`: value sets line to 42, and reviewPr prints it as the finding location. Match the line reference only in the header or summary text, not in the body.

packages/tempo-cli/commands/review-pr.js:237 Minor · Functional Correctness · Poor tradeoff
Select the item's location link instead of the first blob URL.
GH_BLOB_URL_PATTERN has no g flag, so an item uses only its first GitHub blob URL. If the item has no Review comment at line and no summary path, a cited example URL that appears before the item's own location URL becomes the finding's path. Its #L value becomes the line. Select the location link by its position or label in the review item format.

Update the `ghBlobMatch` selection in the `itemBlock` parsing flow to identify
the review item’s location link by its position or label, rather than taking the
first URL matched by `GH_BLOB_URL_PATTERN`. Preserve the existing `Review

selected location link.

packages/tempo-cli/commands/review-pr.js:267 Minor · Functional Correctness · Low value
Accept root-level backtick file references in the body fallback.
The body fallback calls resolveExistingPath only when the backticked path contains /. A body reference such as `README.md` therefore never reaches the resolver. If the file exists at the repository root or in the PR ref, the item is still dropped at the continue on line 285. The summary branch at line 230 accepts root-level files through ALLOWED_ROOT_EXT_PATTERN, so the two fallbacks treat root-level names differently.
Before removing the / check, decide how bare names are attributed. Without it, a bare name in prose, such as index.ts, could match a same-named root file.

packages/tempo-cli/commands/review-pr.js:141-144 Minor · Functional Correctness · Poor tradeoff
Stop the finding scan at the metadata end markers.
The scan that sets lastItemEnd at lines 139-177 can advance past ## Review metadata or <summary>Review info. A non-excluded <details> block after either marker, such as one headed by a file path, can then be included in the last section and reported as a finding. This PR adds this boundary logic, so the behavior is not present at the merge base.
The trigger needs a review body with that layout. The repository does not show such a layout.

Mask fenced blocks before matching Follow-up section starts.
parseTopLevelReviewComments finds section starts on the raw body. A ## Follow-up Comments line inside a Markdown fence starts a Follow-up section. Later <details> items in that range are then reported as Follow-up findings. Replace fenced blocks with same-length blanks before section matching, so the indices still map to normalized.

Do not stop the last-section scan at metadata markers quoted inside items.
scanLimit becomes the first endMarkers match after lastSecStart. The search uses a raw indexOf and does not check whether the match is inside an item. A marker quoted in an earlier item, such as a ## Review metadata heading inside a fenced snippet, lowers scanLimit. The last section is then sliced at that point. Later items in that section are not parsed and are dropped. The earlier item's body is also cut at the quoted marker.
Only real section-end markers should set the parse boundary. The current marker search cannot tell those apart from quoted text.

Skip depth-two summaries that sit inside a depth-one finding.
Depth-two <details> summaries are accepted as findings. A nested explanatory block with a path-like summary, such as src/foo.ts:12, passes the exclusion check and is recorded as its own finding. It is counted in findingsCount and topLevelCommentsCount. It also ends the parent finding's body early. Limit depth-two acceptance to per-file group summaries.

Stop accepting root-level backtick paths from the body header without stronger attribution.
The backtick fallback at review-pr.js:298-313 now accepts a root-level file such as README.md when its backtick mention appears in headerRegion. The loop assigns the first candidate that resolves and breaks. A background mention near the start of an item body can therefore set the finding's path before the affected file is reached. The finding then reports the wrong file in reviewPr output.
Before this change, only nested paths (containing /) were accepted in this fallback. This change introduces the root-level acceptance. A narrower rule is needed. A safe replacement rule was not established by the inspected code, so no diff is proposed.
