A keyword argument or double splat that acts runs ahead of the hoisted lookup - #10721
A **hash argument was left out of the ordering (fwd_arg_hoist skipped it, though fwd_arg_acts counted it): the lookup was hoisted ahead of the hash that rewrites it (rows three and four, also a regression of A Method lookup is re-read per element only when nothing the block runs can change its operands #10714: the base re-read the lookup after). Hoisted like the keyword values, into a temp inside the receiver's parentheses, it would build {} for the same reason, so it needs the same placement.
Follows up #10714 (CodeRabbit review) and builds on #10718 (merged).
The desugar of value-callable forwards takes the temps ahead of the whole call when a keyword argument acts (fwd_hoist_callable, fwd_wrap_call in analyze_desugar.c). The receiver's temp, the argument temps and the lookup's temp become statements of parentheses that take the call's place and number, and the call is their last statement, so every temp is assigned before the call's keyword hash is built. The exchange is the one fwd_branch_on_callable makes for its conditional, now one helper for both (fwd_move_call): the swap goes through the load record (elab_swap_nodes), and the node keeps the call's line, file and column and a computed send's arm marks (dyn_arm, dyn_name), which the dispatch finds its arm by (a computed send(nm, k: chg, &@w.method(:keep)) keeps the arm that holds the temps). desugar_block_arg_order's wrap copies the call instead of moving it (bo_shallow_copy), a different operation, and is left as it is. A ** element's hash is hoisted like a keyword value (**tmp) and counts as acting only when it does. Since the temps now run before the arguments the call still reads, whatever an argument reads ahead of the last part that acts goes into a temp as well, in source order (fwd_part_hoists): a positional argument, a splat's expression, a key, a keyword value or a ** hash, unless it is a literal, self or a constant. That is CRuby's left-to-right order: in each_with_object(a: @x, b: chg, &...), @x is read before chg runs and keeps a: 1. What follows the last acting part is still read by the call, after it, as in CRuby. A call with no acting keyword argument keeps its temps inside the receiver's parentheses, as before. Doing it in the iterator lowering instead (evaluate the receiver before the arguments it emits as statements) would reach every emitter that builds a compound argument as a statement; this keeps the fix to the desugar that put the temps there.
Corpus C diff. The 540 programs of test/ and packages/*/test/ that call method( or fill(, or pass a keyword argument or a ** beside a block argument, under the inline and graph models, against eb08037d0: identical C, except the extended test. Optcarrot and the 73 programs of benchmark/ give identical C.
Tests.test/block_arg_method_lookup_operand_changes.rb gains the first nine rows' shapes, the same shapes with the read after the acting part (c: @x, k: chg, **@hh), a String key, an acting ** after a read, and one in another value position (x = ...each_with_object(k: chg, &...), then p x). The worker is reset before each case, so a lookup made before the acting part would print the old worker's tag. Plain, under --int-overflow=promote, SPINEL_GC_STRESS=1 and --load-model=graph. Master answers the keyword and double-splat rows wrong. make infer-test passes.
Not covered, also on master:
The lowering builds compound arguments before it evaluates a parenthesized receiver, whatever the block argument: (z = 7; [1]).each_with_object([z]) { |e, m| m } answers [nil] (CRuby [7]) and with y = {b: 2} before it, p((y = {a: 1}; [1]).each_with_object(**y) { |e, m| m }) answers {b: 2} (CRuby {a: 1}) on every build; without that line it answers {}.
@arr.each(**empty) { }, with a plain block, never evaluates empty (CRuby evaluates it once).
1.step(3, &w.method(:put)) prints nothing in every model (CRuby prints the steps).
When the lookup itself acts (&mk.method(:go)), the path through desugar_block_arg_order reads a receiver local after an argument rebinds it: a = [1]; a.each_with_object((a = [7]; []), &mk.method(:go)) answers ["w7"] where CRuby gives ["w1"].
Not covered, a regression of #10714 that this PR does not change:

Walkthrough
Forwarded-call lowering now accounts for side effects in keyword arguments and double-splat operands. It hoists affected values to preserve evaluation order and places preparatory statements before the call. Regression examples cover these cases with block-argument method lookup.

Summary
Detect and collect keyword setup statements src/analyze_desugar.c, test/block_arg_method_lookup_operand_changes.rb, test/block_arg_method_lookup_operand_changes.rb.expected
Callable argument analysis detects acting keyword entries and double-splat operands. It hoists acting parts and earlier values that must be read before later effects. The regression examples and expected output cover keyword and double-splat evaluation around block-argument method lookup.
Place setup statements before the call src/analyze_desugar.c
The forwarding path captures preparatory statements and wraps the moved call after them. Call movement preserves source-location data and dynamic-send arm metadata.
matz/spinel#10719: The issue describes failures in each_with_object calls with hoisted block-argument method lookup, including keyword-memo cases. This change covers evaluation order for acting keyword and double-splat arguments around that lookup.

…d lookup
matz#10714 hoists the lookup of `&recv.method(:m)` into a temp and orders the
receiver and the arguments that act ahead of it, into temps assigned inside
the receiver's parentheses. The lowering of an iterator builds a keyword
hash as statements ahead of the call's expression, before the receiver's
parentheses run, so a keyword value that acts read its temp unassigned:
`@arr.each_with_object(k: chg, &@w.method(:keep))` gave `{k: nil}` where
CRuby (and the base before matz#10714) gives `{k: {z: 1}}`. A `**hash` that
acts was left out of the ordering (fwd_arg_hoist skipped it): `**chg` read
the lookup before `chg` ran, and hoisted like the other keyword values it
would have built `{}`.
A call with an acting keyword argument now takes its temps ahead of the
whole call (fwd_wrap_call), as statements of the parentheses that take the
call's place and number, by the exchange fwd_branch_on_callable makes
(fwd_move_call, one helper for both: the swap goes through the load
record, and the node keeps the call's line, file and column and a computed
send's arm marks, dyn_arm and dyn_name, which its dispatch finds the arm
by):
the receiver's temp, the argument temps, the lookup's temp, then the call.
A `**` element's hash is hoisted like a keyword value (`**tmp`) and counts
as acting only when it does. As the temps run before the arguments the
call still reads, what an argument reads ahead of the last part that acts
goes into a temp too, in source order (fwd_part_hoists): a positional
argument, a splat's expression, a key, a keyword value or a `**` hash,
unless it is a literal, self or a constant. In
`@arr.each_with_object(a: @x, b: chg, &@w.method(:keep))` CRuby reads @x
before chg runs and gives `{a: 1, b: 9}`; left in the hash it read the
value chg wrote. What follows the last acting part is still read by the
call. Other calls keep their temps inside the receiver's parentheses, as
before.

On the nitpick about H6 (block_arg_method_lookup_operand_changes.rb): right, chg left @w on the "b" worker, so the later cases could not show the order. Each case now starts from a fresh "a" worker (65ccfc9), and the expected output comes from CRuby; master fails those rows visibly.
