European Digital Sovereignty Project
OSEuro is a technology project exploring the long-term development of European-controlled alternatives for strategic digital infrastructure and software.
Its objective is not isolation from the global technology ecosystem, but the creation of credible technological choice, interoperability, resilience, and sovereignty for Europe.
Repository purpose: this is the public presentation repository. The core development repository remains private.
🚧 Phase 1 — active development
The project owner currently estimates Phase 1 at approximately 30% progress. This percentage is indicative and may evolve as the technical scope is refined.
Europe depends heavily on non-European providers for operating systems, cloud platforms, productivity software, data infrastructure, AI services, and other strategic technologies.
OSEuro explores how Europe could progressively build stronger technological autonomy while remaining compatible with open standards and global interoperability.
- European control
- Interoperability
- Security by design
- Open standards where practical
- Modularity
- Long-term industrial sustainability
- Protection of strategic intellectual property
The public repository focuses on vision, development status, high-level architecture, roadmap, non-sensitive documentation, and selected demonstrations.
The following may remain private:
- core source code;
- proprietary architecture details;
- security mechanisms;
- internal APIs;
- deployment configuration;
- unreleased technical research;
- strategic implementation choices.
