Obsession Icon Pack

A real, working Android icon-pack project — 20 app icons + the pack's own launcher icon, in the red/black/cream "Obsession" palette. Compatible with Nova Launcher, Lawnchair, ADW, Apex, GO Launcher, and any launcher that supports third-party icon packs.

Get the installable APK (no PC needed)

This project has no compiled APK inside it yet — Android apps have to be built by Google's official tools, and I don't have those available where I generated this project. The included GitHub Actions workflow builds it for you, for free, on GitHub's own servers:

  1. Go to github.com, sign in (or create a free account), and make a new repository (name it anything, e.g. obsession-icon-pack).
  2. On the repo page, tap "Add file" → "Upload files" and upload everything from this folder (keep the folder structure — drag the whole extracted ObsessionIconPack folder contents in, including the hidden .github folder).
  3. Commit to the main branch.
  4. Click the Actions tab → you'll see "Build Obsession Icon Pack APK" running automatically. Wait ~2 minutes for the green checkmark.
  5. Open that run → scroll to Artifacts → download obsession-icon-pack-apk (a zip containing app-debug.apk).
  6. On your phone, extract the zip (any file manager can do this) to get app-debug.apk.

Install on your Realme C55

  1. Tap app-debug.apk in your file manager.
  2. If prompted, allow "install unknown apps" for that file manager (one-time permission, no root needed).
  3. Install. Open the app once — it'll confirm it's installed.

Apply the icon pack

  • Nova Launcher: Settings → Look & Feel → Icon Theme → pick "Obsession Icon Pack".
  • Lawnchair: Settings → Icon pack → pick "Obsession Icon Pack".
  • For any icon that doesn't auto-apply (some Realme system apps have device-specific package names I couldn't verify without your exact ROM build), long-press that icon → Edit → choose an icon from this pack manually. This always works regardless of the auto-mapping.

Swap in your own AI-generated art later

Every icon is a plain PNG at: app/src/main/res/drawable/ic_<name>.png

Generate the fully illustrated hand-drawn versions (via Midjourney/Leonardo, matching the style prompt from earlier), export each at 512×512, and overwrite the matching filename — keep names identical. Push again and the GitHub Action rebuilds automatically with your new art.

Files in this project

  • app/src/main/res/drawable/ — the 21 icon PNGs
  • app/src/main/res/xml/appfilter.xml — maps real apps to icons
  • app/src/main/AndroidManifest.xml — declares this as an icon pack to launchers
  • .github/workflows/build-apk.yml — the free auto-build pipeline
