About

NativeMorph is a free, open Android app that lets you run your own Godot games — built for PC — natively on your phone or tablet. It is not an emulator and not a streaming client: the actual Godot engine runs on your device, and your game files never leave it.

  • Two embedded official runtimes — Godot 4.7.2 stable and Godot 3.6.2 stable (both MIT-licensed by the Godot project), packed into a single APK.
  • Works on every GPU — the engine detects your real GPU at runtime and adapts to it: all Adreno generations (3xx through 8xx), the whole Mali range (T-series, G-series, Immortalis), PowerVR Rogue and B-series, Xclipse, VideoCore and Vivante, on Snapdragon, Dimensity, Exynos, Helio, Kirin, Tensor and everything in between. Old or entry-level chips start on the safe GL compatibility path, modern ones get full Fidelity — check Settings to see exactly what was detected on your device.
  • Import your own files — .pck packs, .zip bundles, Windows .exe + .pck pairs, and Godot .apk / .obb exports. Import, optimization and storage happen 100% on your device — nothing is ever uploaded anywhere.
  • On-device optimizer — packs are parsed, profiled (Fidelity / Battery Saver / Compatibility) and repacked locally, byte-exact.
  • Floating touch controls — three overlay layouts (Classic Pad, Twin Stick, Gesture Minimal) above any game, switchable live while playing — plus a full Custom Controls editor (drag, resize, add any button).
  • PS3-style Cross Media Bar menu — Settings / Music / Video / Game / Browser columns over the classic flowing wave, with eased glide animations, synthesized navigation blips, an inline per-game action row (Play / layout / report / delete), an in-app music & video player, and a browser-game player that overlays the touch controls on any web game.
  • Import compile check & auto-repair — every imported game is compile-checked on-device; the two real boot-crash causes (broken autoloads, missing main scene) are fixed straight from the game's own source before it ever runs.
  • Camera compatibility patcher (v0.0.5) — when a game is imported, its camera code is scanned. Games that already steer the camera with touch are left untouched; games whose camera only listens to mouse or gamepad input get a small drag-to-look layer injected into their own source, so the on-screen camera stick works.
  • Performance controls (v0.0.5) — an FPS counter at the top of the menu (Off / Compact / Full with RAM, CPU and GPU readout in Settings), a game FPS limit of 15 / 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 or Unlimited (the default), and an adjustable camera joystick sensitivity.
  • Video player upgrades (v0.0.5) — playback speed from 0.5x up to 8x, reliable play/pause/seek controls, and the whole UI now uses the engine's own custom-styled dialogs instead of system ones.
  • Customizable background (v0.0.8) — the default purple wave can be re-tinted to any color (presets or a full hue/saturation/brightness picker), the animation can be turned off for a still background, and any picture from the gallery can be set as the menu background with a preview + confirm step. Icons and text scale up on tablets too.
  • This project used AI.

Some games will NOT work

NativeMorph is an independent hobby project, not a commercial product, and game compatibility is not guaranteed. Please read this before you try it:

  • Some games simply won't run. Games may fail to import, crash at launch, show a black screen, or misbehave (broken input, missing audio, graphical glitches). This is expected — every game is different.
  • Unity games are rejected — Unity desktop builds contain x86/x86-64 engine code that cannot run natively on ARM. Only Godot games are supported.
  • GDExtension native modules compiled only for desktop platforms (Windows / Linux / macOS) will not load on Android.
  • Encrypted packs are not supported.
  • Very large packs (over ~1.6 GB) are refused on-device.
  • arm64-v8a only (64-bit Android, minSdk 24 / Android 7.0+). 32-bit devices are not supported.

If a game doesn't work, it doesn't. There is no fix on the roadmap for every title — use the engine with games you can actually test, and report what you find on Discord.
