A simple QR code scanner for iOS 6. Point the camera at a code and it's read right away: open the link, call the number, or copy the text or Wi-Fi password. Everything happens on the phone.
- Opens straight to the camera and reads any QR code in view, at any angle, including light-on-dark and mirrored codes. A green outline and a tick show when it's read.
- Then a card for what the code holds: links open in Safari, phone numbers call, email and text codes open Mail or Messages, map codes open Maps, and Wi-Fi codes show the network and password.
- Every card has Copy (Copy Password on Wi-Fi codes).
- Photos reads a QR code from a saved picture or screenshot.
- Light turns on the flashlight, and tapping the screen focuses there.
- Decoding happens on the iPhone with quirc. No server.
- Open QR Scanner and point the camera at a QR code.
- When it's read, tap the card's action (Open in Safari, Call, Send Email and so on) or Copy. Done goes back to scanning.
- To read a code in a picture, tap Photos and pick it. In the dark, tap Light.
- Jailbroken iOS 6 (tested on an iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.2)
In Cydia, add https://mbucc9000.github.io/slopkit/ and install QR Scanner. Or download the .deb from Releases and install it with dpkg -i.
Theos with the iOS 6.1 SDK: make package FINALPACKAGE=1 in app/. tools/make_test_qr.py draws test codes (its own small encoder, tools/qrgen.py), and QRScanner --decode <image> over SSH prints what the app reads from each one.
