Owner

Why

The owner decided to release the current redesign on hubcys.com now. The domain still serves the legacy Base44 app, which has its own backend and user data, so switching DNS changes which accounts and data visitors reach. This PR documents a safe switch and removes the redesign's runtime dependency on Base44-hosted files.

What

  • docs/v2/cutover-runbook.md
    • Prerequisite: activation acceptance.
    • Blockers with owner and action:
      • B1: customer data held in Base44
      • B2: Vercel production deployment protection
      • B3: Firebase authorized domains
      • B4: CORS origins
      • B5: billing and any live Stripe subscriptions
    • The DNS switch, recording the Base44 records first for rollback.
    • Post-switch verification and rollback.
  • Self-hosted assets (B6): the logo, landing images, onboarding image, IOC background and the questionnaire PDF were hotlinked from Base44's Supabase bucket. They are now in public/brand/ and referenced as /brand/... in Layout.jsx, LandingPage.jsx, OnboardingTour.jsx, IOCAnalyzer.jsx and Questionnaire.jsx. Vercel serves static files before the SPA rewrite, so these paths resolve directly.

Not changed

No DNS, Vercel, Firebase or billing settings are changed. The cut-over is an operator action following the runbook.

Verification

  • npm run build passes; dist/brand/ contains all five files (4 PNGs, 1 PDF), verified as valid images and an 8-page PDF.
  • grep finds no remaining supabase.co references in src/.
  • ESLint on the touched files reports 3 unused-import errors in LandingPage.jsx. These are identical on main, so this PR introduces none.

The owner chose to release the current redesign on hubcys.com. The domain
still serves the legacy Base44 app, so the runbook lists the blockers that
must be cleared first (Base44-held customer data, Vercel production
deployment protection, Firebase authorized domains, CORS origins, billing),
the DNS switch with a recorded rollback, and post-switch verification.

The redesign hotlinked its logo, landing images and questionnaire PDF from
Base44's storage bucket; they are now served from public/brand so the app
keeps working after Base44 is retired.

After the switch, new sign-ups and saved work exist only in Firebase, so
rolling DNS back to Base44 makes them unreachable for those users. The
rollback now records the switch time, snapshots Firebase data and new Auth
users after DNS is restored, and requires contacting affected users. The
verification sign-up uses a named test account that is deleted afterwards.
