[PL] Tribute to MapAnalyst

Wtyczka do QGIS (3.20+) dedykowana zaawansowanej analizie kartometrycznej map historycznych. Projekt inspirowany klasycznym oprogramowaniem MapAnalyst, przenoszący jego kluczowe funkcjonalności bezpośrednio do środowiska QGIS.

Główne Funkcjonalności

  • Dual Canvas: Praca na dwóch oknach mapy jednocześnie – skan historyczny (piksele) oraz mapa współczesna (układ współrzędnych).
  • Silnik Matematyczny: Obsługa modeli Helmerta (4P), Affine (6P), Wielomianowych (1-3 stopnia) oraz Projective (8P).
  • Interpolacja TPS: Generowanie siatki zniekształceń Thin Plate Spline (TPS) przy użyciu biblioteki scipy.
  • Wizualizacja Błędów: Automatyczne generowanie wektorów przesunięć oraz okręgów outlierów o promieniu proporcjonalnym do błędu.
  • Zaawansowana Statystyka: Wyliczanie RMSE, średniej rotacji oraz rozkładu skali nominalnej (Q1, Mediana, Q3).

Instalacja

Skopiuj folder tributetomapanalyst do katalogu wtyczek QGIS:Linux: ~/.local/share/QGIS/QGIS3/profiles/default/python/plugins/Windows: %APPDATA%\QGIS\QGIS3\profiles\default\python\plugins\

[EN] Tribute to MapAnalyst

QGIS plugin (3.20+) for advanced cartometric analysis of historical maps. A tribute to the original MapAnalyst software, integrating its core analytical power directly into the QGIS environment.

Key Features

  • Dual Canvas Workflow: Interactive point pairing between a raw historical scan (pixel-based) and a modern reference map (CRS-based).
  • Robust Transformation Engine: Support for Helmert, Affine, Polynomial (1st-3rd order), and Projective models.
  • TPS Splines: Smooth distortion grid generation using Thin Plate Spline interpolation.
  • Visual Analytics: Dynamic generation of error vectors and outlier circles with radius defined by local residuals.
  • Comprehensive Statistics: Real-time calculation of RMSE, global rotation, and scale distribution (Q1, Median, Q3).

Mathematics Behind the Tool

The plugin utilizes the Least Squares Method for global transformations. For local distortions, it employs Thin Plate Splines (TPS), which treat the map like a thin metal sheet deformed to match control points.

  • RMSE: Calculated as $\sqrt{\frac{\sum (\Delta x^2 + \Delta y^2)}{n}}$.
  • Scale Estimation: Based on the relation between pixel distances and ground distances, adjusted for the specified DPI.

Installation

Clone/Copy the tributetomapanalyst folder into your QGIS plugins directory.Dependencies: Ensure numpy and scipy are installed. We highly recommend using the qpip plugin for seamless dependency management within QGIS:Install qpip from the QGIS Plugin Manager.Run: qpip install scipy numpy.
