PidgonCoin is a toy currency I built when I was 11 (so don't shame me for the vulnerabilities) using HTML/CSS, jQuery, and Express.js.
The site is super minimal and all options are super simple. Users can log in and sign up without an email and can transfer and mine money. I also had plans for a physical card, so you can see a bit of the early infrastructure for the card on the site. Super users on the site are called "Super Pidgons" and can add/subtract money from users. They can also view a log of all transactions. Users also earn badges for the amount of transactions they've completed.
Setup is simple. Just run npm i && node index.js to download all packages, following which the site should go live. You can view the site at http://localhost:3000. The only thing that wouldn't work is the "Email me my PidgonCard" feature. If you are familiar with Nodemailer, I've initialised it in the first few lines of index.js where you can enter in your email details.
ngl this site is horrendous from a security perspective. past-mihi decided that publicly exposed JSON files are easier than a DB, the site doesn't ask for or verify emails, and above all, it's not hard to give yourself an avogadro amount of coins lmao. Feel free to submit a fix if you're up for it!
PidgonCoin is not a real currency or cryptocurrency. Any cryptocurrency claiming to be made by me that resembles PidgonCoin or any other project I created is a scam designed to steal your money. I do not endorse any cryptocurrency or project, nor have I created any cryptocurrencies on any memecoin launchpads. Avoid all interactions with people claiming that I have endorsed any cryptocurrency.
