Research only. No engine, API, profile, or Pack JSON changes.

Companion note for a scientific-paper platform Pack, now framed as the poligon (proving ground) for the three-pass slogan:

name sentence-by-sentence → judge → act/score

Report: docs/research/scientific-peer-review-as-pack.md

Verdict. Completeness/integrity yes; merit/novelty no. The roles name / judge / act survive. The naive clock (every sentence, then a score or rewrite) does not. Shipped 0.24 is two plant scans plus optional write. A journal accept/reject is the editor’s homeostat, not pass 3. Do not change the engine to make the slogan look true.

New §1 is the poligon:

  • Slogan vs what 0.24 actually runs
  • Why a paper (not a notice or a story) can falsify the slogan
  • Pros to keep (typed absence, presence ≠ quality, topic-agnostic jobs, overlays, egg papers as empty covered(), optional act off)
  • Cons not to paper over (noul cost, cascade miss/over-tag, wrong-home witnesses, claim×evidence, Pack too large)
  • Wrong assumptions A1–A10 (sentence as universal grain; three neural walks; coverage % as peer review; referee-as-author; frozen Name; headings as functions; merit as a Pack id)
  • §1.5 artifact table — cross-link example Pack + fixture paper when present

In tree today: examples/packs/story.json, tests/fixtures/notice.pack.json, corpus "paper" in tests/test_conformance_corpus.py (overclaim, n=12). Not in tree: examples/packs/scientific_paper.json (landing path linked; sibling platform PR). A two-sentence corpus string is not evidence that sentence-by-sentence name is cheap or sufficient.

Still covered from the first revision: journal roles/decisions, CONSORT/PRISMA/ARRIVE as overlays, primers as SourceUnits (URLs/titles in Pack data only), Temida = same engine different Pack.

Companion research note for a topic-agnostic scientific-paper Pack:
journal roles and decisions, CONSORT/PRISMA/ARRIVE as overlays,
integrity Close/Defect rules, primers as SourceUnits, and Temida
legal Packs on the same engine.

Emphasize that a topic-agnostic paper Pack plus manuscript is the
proving ground for name-sentence-by-sentence → judge → act/score:
pros, cons, and ten wrong assumptions. Cross-link the example Pack
path and in-tree paper fixture; no engine changes.
