About GymGo

GymGo is an athlete-focused fitness tracking platform created to eliminate friction from workout logging, calorie management, and progressive overload tracking. Built with React Native (New Architecture), Expo, and Supabase, it pairs a smooth mobile companion app with a lightning-fast web showcase powered by Vite 8.

Installation & Setup

Prerequisites

  • Node.js 20.x or 22.x LTS
  • npm or yarn
  • Expo Go app (on physical phone) or Android Studio / Xcode simulator

Mobile Application (Application/)

  1. Navigate to the mobile application directory:
    cd Application
  2. Install dependencies:
    npm install
  3. Start the Expo development server:
    npx expo start
  4. Scan the QR code with Expo Go (Android) or the Camera app (iOS) to launch the app.

Official Website (Website/)

  1. Navigate to the website directory:
    cd Website
  2. Install dependencies:
    npm install
  3. Start the local preview server:
    npm run dev
  4. Build for production:
    npm run build
