Maintainer consolidation: this component is already normally integrated into existing PR98. Under the maintainer-directed batching policy, PR98 will qualify and land the complete temporal-contract consumer objective, including this published dependency adoption. This record stays open until that batch actually lands, then will close as consolidated with the verified merge reference. It is no longer an independent merge candidate. The component evidence below retains its exact tested revision.

Refs #76. Dependency-update exception under CONTRIBUTING.md.

Replace the temporary immutable Specs Git dependency with published ml4t-specs>=0.2.0,<0.3.0. Regenerate the lock, remove unused Hatch direct-reference permission and update the existing temporal migration guide. Specs 0.1.5 does not supply the required v2 API. This keeps runtime wheel metadata honest rather than using only a development override.

Qualified source b95fb29, tree e69f84124cfd176d735e895635eb49a08e5b163e. No runtime implementation change.

Executed evidence:

  • PyPI and release manifest independently identify Specs 0.2.0 at e1a05a8065c1988a6bac414e50f8f0474e3b6ad4. Its wheel SHA256 cfd550d19b469f1b083d6ac3f83b235fe71aee19c28465f2ac2c8620064bae61 matches the regenerated lock and downloaded wheel.
  • Full source suite: 4380 passed, 57 deselected, 17 warnings in 85.67s. Relevant API/grid/config/policy cases: 145 passed in 3.48s.
  • Clean normal wheel installations on Python 3.12/3.13/3.14 each pass the same 145 consumer cases (4.32s/4.83s/4.73s), with uv pip check passing all 108 packages. No editable install or source-path substitution.
  • Python 3.12 verifies all 199 installed Engineer package files and all nine installed Specs package files against the exact wheels, actual site-packages origins and versions. Installed Engineer requirements have bounded index dependencies and no direct source references.
  • Original four Specs v2 consumer probes pass from the installed package; existing public API tests cover explicit calendar > metadata > NYSE, explicit None, JSON/YAML artifact handoff, omitted versus null and legacy metadata compatibility.
  • Maintained documentation workflows execute from both source and installed wheel. All README links, strict MkDocs (2.20s), Ruff, format, ty, uv lock --check, Twine wheel/sdist and plain commit hooks pass.
  • Engineer wheel SHA256 a7a64fc29a6b6042132de62799583b4f28afd25cb605197510649cdef820ef4a; sdist a7a46d71127bc017f07ca8485fb14fe859f6ba291c0268754802e10111127387. Manifest binds the source and tree above. Hosted supported gates remain required before merge.

The temporal default migration targets Engineer 0.2, not the historical 0.1.7 patch. This does not publish/tag a package, deploy docs or claim remaining daily/session/window requirements are implemented. Existing issue76 remains open.

AI assistance: Codex inspected the published identity, changed dependency/configuration/documentation, reviewed the diff and executed the listed source and installed-consumer checks. No independent human review is claimed.

Implemented through the maintainer-directed temporal batch #98, merged as b0d2027 after all 40 applicable checks passed. Original head b95fb29 is a normal ancestor of reviewed batch head c69845d; its published Specs dependency and consumer regressions are retained. Closing this component as consolidated, not discarding its work. AI assistance: Codex reviewed the integration, verified the original ancestry and matching tested/merged trees, and performed this maintainer consolidation.
