Hi there 👋

My name is Mike and I am the Director of AI & Data Science at Security Benefit. I have more than a decade of experience in the energy, insurance, banking, and finance industries.

I am a geophysicist by education and have previously worked at Anadarko Petroleum, Occidental Petroleum, and ThinkOnward (a Shell Oil portfolio company). While at ThinkOnward I helped build the Geophysical Foundation Model. You can checkout that model on GitHub and HuggingFace. This model is associated with the a poster presented at AAPG/SEG IMAGE 2024 Conference in Houston,Texas.
