Container release 2 (owner plan) — Read again once for search: .ps/.eps files (PostScript now has a reader), and where LibreOffice is installed its .wri, .wk1, .wks, .123, .sxc, .abw, .cwk, .numbers files.

  • Make PDF searchable (Alt+P, both apps): OCRmyPDF installed or in its image; name.searchable.pdf next to the scan, never overwrites, progress, Stop, quitting stops it first.
  • Previews: Typst, PostScript/EPS (Ghostscript, -dSAFER), XPS (installed gxps), D2, ditaa, svgbob, Pikchr, nomnoml, WaveDrom, Vega, Vega-Lite, DBML, erd, bytefield (Kroki's image), WMF/EMF and old office formats (Gotenberg's LibreOffice).
  • Every container: per call, --network=none, file's folder read-only, pulled only after a click naming its size; Settings and Disk use explain each image. Rootless podman --user 0:0, rootful podman/docker --user uid:gid + HOME=/tmp.
  • Diff review (Fable) found 13 issues, all fixed: quit during a run, a missing program no longer discards a kind's text/vectors, cloud PDFs never probed, Stop during a pull, LibreOffice under docker, UI thread, probe cost, pikchr stdin, Typst cache, PostScript one-time re-read, rootful podman.
  • Tested with real images in an isolated podman store (deleted after): 20 sample files, Make PDF searchable, stop, quit.
