…rd adapter Threads the bot itself created (owner_id == bot, e.g. forum posts made over REST) count as joined, so the bot answers there without an @mention. Wraps the adapter's thread tracker, which both mention gates (live + downtime recovery) read. Registers a copy of the bundled 'discord' PlatformEntry with only adapter_factory swapped (keeps YAML config translation, cron delivery, setup, auth env). Checks the adapter contract at load; on mismatch logs ERROR and leaves the stock adapter running. Tests run against a real Hermes tree: 11 pass; with the override removed, the 3 behaviour tests fail. hermes plugins doctor: OK. First Hermes-native plugin package in the marketplace (Python + plugin.yaml, installed with
hermes plugins install), next to the skill packs and the Claude Code harness plugin.v0.1: threads the bot itself created (
owner_id== bot, e.g. forum posts made over REST) count as joined, so the bot answers there without an @mention. It wraps the adapter's thread tracker, which both mention checks (live and downtime catch-up) read.Safety: it registers a copy of Hermes's
discordentry with only the adapter swapped, and checks the adapter interface at load. If the check fails it logs an ERROR, registers nothing, and Hermes's adapter keeps running.Evidence: 11 tests against the live runtime pin (v2026.8.18-local.2097ba1) pass; with the override removed, the 3 behaviour tests fail.
hermes plugins doctor: OK. The design had a Fable review before build (go-with-changes), and all its changes are applied.Not yet verified: live gateway behaviour. That needs a restart of the cog gateway. See the README for install and rollback.
