Supersedes the session-2 handoff, which described a shut gate and zero authored rules. Both are now wrong: the gate is open and ten rules are live on main.

Records:

  • the eligibility gate as it now stands — five thresholds, two of them slop-signals-only, one added this session after the gate first opened and let two signals through on a single observation each
  • what the evidence supports (the convergent template predates AI; mean slop barely moves across twelve years while mean craft climbs) versus what it does not ("AI makes everything look the same" — several slop signals run at similar or higher rates in the 2014 control)
  • six known-soft areas in priority order
  • the method notes paid for the hard way: captures that return correct-dimension empty PNGs, a boolean row metric that hides a false absent, verifying negatives rather than only positives, and npm ci over npm install

First task next session is the one that could undo all of it. deepmark has one rater and no second read, and the ten rules depend on it being rated slop. The revert path is spelled out and is mechanical: set the verdict to mixed, run the build, delete the rule files it names as newly ineligible. The rules are generated from the evidence rather than written against it, so nothing needs rewriting.

The session-2 handoff described a shut gate and zero authored rules. Both
are now wrong: the gate is open, ten rules are live on main at 0d196eb,
and the corpus is 32 files.

Records the full eligibility gate as it now stands (five thresholds, two of
them slop-only, one added this session), what the evidence supports versus
what it does not, and the six known-soft areas in priority order.

First task next session is the one that could undo it: deepmark has one
rater and no second read, and all ten rules depend on it. The revert path
is spelled out and is mechanical, since the rules are generated from the
evidence rather than written against it.

Also carries the method notes paid for the hard way this session, including
the capture failures that return correct-dimension empty PNGs, the
boolean-row metric that hides a false absent, verifying negatives rather
than only positives, and npm ci over npm install.
