Solution

Change

hash = hash.replace /[^a-z0-9\u4e00-\u9fa5äüö\-]/g, ""

to

hash = hash.replace /[^a-z0-9\u4e00-\u9fa5äüö\u00df\-]/g, ""

Explanation

ß has the character code \u00df.
