What Is NPM YouTube Automation?

NPM YouTube Automation is a Python-powered desktop application designed for YouTubers who want to save time while maximizing the reach of their content. It extracts audio from your video, generates transcription and metadata using advanced AI models, and uploads the video directly to your YouTube channel — all in a few simple steps.

The app leverages:

Whisper by OpenAI for fast and accurate audio transcription.

Ollama LLMs (like Llama3.2) for generating descriptions, hashtags, and viral titles.

Google’s YouTube API for direct video uploads and thumbnail management.

PySide6 for a clean, user-friendly desktop interface.

Logs and progress updates are displayed live for transparency.

How It Works

Select Video & Thumbnail: Using the app interface, choose your video file and thumbnail image.

AI Transcription & Metadata: The app extracts the audio, transcribes it using Whisper, and sends the text to LLMs to generate metadata.

Upload to YouTube: The app authenticates via Google OAuth and uploads the video. The progress bar lets you know how far the upload has gone.

Done: Once complete, you receive a notification with the Video ID, confirming the upload.

Installation & Usage

Download the latest release from GitHub Releases
.

Extract the .zip file anywhere on your PC.

Place your client_secrets.json file in the same folder (used for Google OAuth).

Run NPM_Youtube_Automation.exe.

Select your video and thumbnail, and click Start Automation.

It’s that simple. You don’t need Python installed, because the exe has everything packaged.

Why I Built This
